“I wanted to capture some of the aesthetic of the earthquake in terms of visual, typographical, and textual (through texture). Bam is a old city lacking any modern architecture, so I mixed in images from Montreal to give a sense of what it might look like to be in an earthquake and give it more of a personal feel. The jacket and paper was to give a sense of disaster relief packaging (cardboard).”
